The EC team is a combination of marketing, product and technology professionals who are passionate about the new digital medium. Our strength comes from our ability to keep an open mind, while to continue to learn at a rapid pace.
Sandip Maiti
Sandip co-founded Experience Commerce (EC) with Rajeev and Rajesh in 2006. At EC, he is responsible for crafting the digital strategy and campaign plan for all marquee clients. In 2009 Sandip and team rolled out some of the most successful and award winning digital campaigns of India, such as the "Great Driving Challenge" by Mitsubishi, "Fanatic Fans Challenge" for Royal Challengers. the Arteor Experience from Legrand, and more.
Prior to starting EC, Sandip headed marketing programs at technology start-ups in USA & India. A graduate from Institute of Technology (BHU), Sandip pursued his Masters from Case Western University, USA. Hooked on the Internet since its very early days, the first brush with 'media' came during his stint with leading brands such as CHIP, Digit, Network Computing, ZDnetindia.com etc from publishing houses Vogel, CMP and Ziff-Davis. It was only a matter of time, before the vows were exchanged and EC was born.
Along with his team, Sandip dreams of making EC the coolest digital agency in India, and someday take on the world.
Rajeev Srinivasa
Rajeev leads the Digital Technologies Team at EC responsible for turning raw creative ideas into digital assets. His strong enterprise computing background enables EC to create world class platforms and tools for digital marketing solutions such as campaign management, web analytics, digital discovery, social media listening, and social applications on web and mobile platforms.
Rajeev & team delivered some of India's finest digital campaigns and assets such as Great Driving Challenge, Castrol Cricket and Royal Challengers. Together they served over 1 Million unique web audience and multiple million page views, with near-zero downtime in short bursts of few days/weeks, as campaigns took off and went viral.
Rajeev spends considerable amount of time nowadays in R&D activities, focused on intertwining computer science and social science', that will eventually lead to a framework for semantic web marketing for brands. A PhD in Computer Science, Rajeev was a part of academics as faculty at IIT Chennai for almost 15 years before migrating to the industry.
Classical music intoxicates him and on weekends he is busy playing his sitar and tabla.
Rajesh Chokhani
Rajesh is National Creative Director at Experience Commerce, with two lives - first on the web and his second in the world outside. Gifted with a vision of simplicity, he excels in creating ideas for a digital world. From campaign concepts to product design, Rajesh is hands-on with his team of art directors, designers and production specialists, translating marketing strategies to executable ideas - that deliver results.
You can spot the twinkle in his eyes as you discuss topics like travel, lifestyle, food, wildlife, economics, and the digital web; but try challenging him on his liberal world views and design simplicity, and you run some real risk of turning him loose. When turned loose, Rajesh is of course at his very best, producing some of the coolest digital campaigns India has ever seen, like the Mitsubishi Great Driving Challenge, Club Royal Challengers Fanatic Fans Challenge, Arteor Smart Home campaign for Legrand and Meetha Bomb for Cadbury.
Amit Deshpande
Amit Deshpande leads the technology team at EC.
A web applications veteran, Amit & team work on cutting edge technologies and platforms designing and building the latest web, social media digital infrastructure. Amit is a polyglot speaks nearly all languages from Assembly to PHP and Action-script. Before joining EC, Amit worked as principal developer at companies like Rave Technologies and Zycus.
His most cherished project is web-casting 100 hours of non stop live rock music - mixing business with foot tapping, head banging pleasure.
An avid cricket enthusiast and a hard rock fan, when not cracking tech issues Amit can be found trying to master his Ibanez.
Jayshree Nayak
Jayshree, is a natural at servicing clients. She is a seasoned team leader capable of steering the team towards achievement of the client objectives. She is a go-getter ensuring awesome client satisfaction from signature to execution of campaigns. J has a keen appreciation of creativity and can provide strategic inputs and holistic communication solutions to client's businesses.
J lives in a peaceful tail-end suburb of Mumbai with her family. She can also be often spotted in her Tata Safari LE on Mumbai WE Highways with her pet Growlith.
Jayshree Nayak
Nidhi handles the online marketing and social media team at EC, on everything digital from strategy to execution. This includes hands-on community management; social media optimization (Facebook, Twitter, Orkut ); online media planning & buying and coordination of online banners; and search engine optimization (SEO/SEM). The digital marketing team uses the latest web analytics tools and activities are inspired and backed up by hard data.
Nidhi graduated from Emerson College, Boston, and prides herself on having had access to Facebook before it opened up beyond US college networks. She brings forth her experience living in a hyper-connected world, working at a technology company innovating with 360 degrees social network integration, and freelancing at public relations and advertising agencies.
In her spare time, she runs a fortnightly podcast on latest trends in Indian Social Media and Advertising. On weekends, Nidhi's out championing the cause of coffee at her local CCD, and cycling down Bombay roads in the early AM.
