Copy Supervisor – DIGITAL AND SOCIAL

  • Reporting To: Manager Copy

Role & Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Development

  •  Mentor and guide a team of Copywriters and Senior Copywriters. 
  • Allocate brands and BAU social workloads fairly and manage capacity. 
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions, writing reviews, and skill-building workshops. 

Hands-On Copywriting 

  • Own end-to-end copy for a few brands (social posts, short-form scripts, digital ads).
  •  Ensure all copy aligns with brand voice, tone, and strategic objectives. 
  • Review and polish team-produced copy for quality, consistency, and impact. 

Client Engagement & Content Planning 

  • Lead content-plan discussions and pitch sessions with clients.
  • Understand brand goals, target audiences, and performance metrics to craft proposals. 
  • Translate client briefs into comprehensive social content calendars and storytelling roadmaps.   

Idea Generation & Campaign Strategy 

  • Regularly ideate and present bold, differentiated campaign concepts. 
  • Collaborate with account executives, art directors, strategists, and media planners to integrate copy into omnichannel executions. 
  • Stay on top of social trends, platform features, and cultural moments to keep concepts fresh. 

Quality & Process Management 

  • Establish and maintain copy style guides, voice documents, and approval workflows.
  • Ensure timely delivery of copy drafts, revisions, and final files. 
  • Partner with account teams to align on timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

Skills & experience required to Succeed in this role:

Experience: 

6–8 years in a digital advertising or integrated agency, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Proven track record in social media content creation and copywriting across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, Youtube).

Core Skills: 

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling abilities. 
  • Strong client-facing and presentation skills; comfortable “selling” ideas. 
  • Leadership mindset with a knack for coaching and motivating writers. 
  • Strategic thinker who can align copy with wider business and brand objectives.
