IT Support Engineer / System Administrator

Description

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Engineer / System Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day IT operations, providing technical support, and ensuring the stability and security of our infrastructure and systems.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals across Windows, Mac, and environments. 
  • Deploy and manage software, drivers, and OS updates across user systems. 
  • Perform regular system audits to ensure optimal performance and security compliance. 
  • Manage users, groups, and permissions in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Admin Console.
  • Configure and manage MDM tools (such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf) for remote device management and policy enforcement.
  • Troubleshoot end-user issues related to hardware, software, network, VPN, email, and printers. 
  • Set up and maintain firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless access points, ensuring secure and stable connectivity. 
  • Configure and maintain VPN access for remote users and secure inter-office connectivity. 
  • Maintain and update IT asset inventory (laptops, desktops, mobile devices, accessories, etc.) using asset management tools or spreadsheets.
  • Track and manage software licenses, renewals, and compliance for tools like Adobe Creative Cloud, Autodesk, and other company-used software.
  • Implement and monitor endpoint security (antivirus, malware protection, threat response tools).
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations for employee onboarding/offboarding, IT checklists, and device handovers.
  • Support internal and external IT audits by providing system reports, access logs, and documentation.
  • Draft and enforce IT usage policies, access policies, and security protocols.
  • Provide regular IT support during critical project deliveries, events, or peak production periods.
  • Collaborate with creative/software teams for software/hardware compatibility and performance tuning.
  • Maintain clear documentation of systems, setups, procedures, issue logs, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Hands-on experience with IT Ticketing tools for efficient issue tracking and resolution.

Skills & experience required to Succeed in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. 
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in IT support/system administration roles.
  • Strong understanding of Windows, macOS, and networking fundamentals. 
  • Working knowledge of MDM solutions (e.g., Microsoft Intune, Jamf). 
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365, and cloud-based tools. 
  • Knowledge of firewalls, VPN configuration, and endpoint security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. 
  • Ability to work under pressure and support users remotely or on-site.
