first day

What was your first day at EC like?

When I first joined EC, it honestly felt... different. Unlike the usual agency chaos where Mondays bring panic and fire drills, here people were calmly focused on a few clients - not juggling too many at once. No shouting matches or constant “urgent” pings. In fact, that very first Monday, people were actually talking about their offsite plans. I genuinely thought, “Wait... is this really an agency?”

Then came the next Monday - and that’s when I truly felt it. The energy, the ownership, the calm confidence in the chaos. That’s when it clicked - this is the kind of agency I always wanted to be a part of.

What’s one thing EC taught you that books never could?

That sometimes, you’re not solving a business problem-you’re solving a trust problem.

What’s the first thing you do when you get a new client brief?

I go into detective mode. I grab a coffee, put on my metaphorical Sherlock hat, and start decoding: what’s the real problem we’re solving? Are we chasing awareness, conversion - or relevance?

I interrogate the ask before imagining the answer. That’s how I make sure the work isn’t just good-looking but also goal - hitting - delivering what the brand might not be saying, but probably needs.

Then, I map out the key stakeholders, audience behaviors, and competitive context, and start forming the narrative thread that could connect it all.

What’s your favorite kind of brief - detailed and structured or open to ideas?

The detailed roadmap and the open playground.

client feedback

How do you handle last-minute client feedback?

First, I scream internally. Then, I smile externally. Once that’s done, I go into ninja mode.

I scan the feedback and categorize: What’s critical? What’s cosmetic? What’s a cry for help?

Then I rally the team, rework what matters, and gently remind the client that magic still takes a few minutes to render.

What’s that one iconic client line that echoes in your head?

"You’re the experts" - but here’s exactly what we want!

One campaign you're extremely proud to have been a part of - and why?

One campaign I’m proud of is The Sleep Company’s “ONE MORE HOUR” campaign for World Sleep Day - not just for the final output, but for everything it took to get there. The timeline was tight, with just a week to pull it off. There was constant back-and-forth with the client, pressure from all sides, and the added layer of managing influencer collaborations. It could’ve easily gone off track, but with the team’s hustle and quick thinking, we turned all that chik-chik into a smooth, well-executed campaign that actually made an impact.

If you had to describe EC’s culture in 3 phrases, what would they be?

Hands-on
problem-solving

Cool under pressure, always

Constant growth
and learning

What makes the EC team so special when it comes to handling high-pressure projects?

We’re obsessive about fitting the pieces together: fast, smart, and creatively. The pressure just means the puzzle is worth solving.

Which team at EC would you trade roles with for one day - and why?

Strategy Team - they’re very intriguing.
They’re the ones who dig deep into consumer insights, market trends, brand positioning, and competitor behavior to develop the why behind the what.

Spending a day in their shoes would offer a unique look at how ideas are born from real-world data and emotional intelligence - before any visuals or copy come into play.

team

What’s a small everyday EC ritual that you secretly love?

The chai breaks that turn into mini brainstorms - nothing official, just spontaneous chats that somehow spark the best ideas.

Who’s your go-to person at EC? - for help, a laugh, or just to vent?

Bhawana - In fast-moving or high-stakes situations, she stays composed, focused, and supportive. That’s why I always turn to her. She leads without micromanaging and guides without overwhelming.

Affan - The unofficial therapist.

What’s your idea of peace when you log off from a chaotic day at work?

After a chaotic day, I find peace in dance.
The music, the rhythm, and the flow of movement reset my mind. It’s like hitting the refresh button - by the end, I’m calmer, more focused, and ready to face whatever comes next.

One piece of advice you'd give to someone starting their EC journey today?

Don’t wait around - people here can be laid-back, so you need to stay proactive. Take initiative, follow up, and drive things forward if you want to make things happen.
