DESCRIPTION:
We are seeking a PHP Developer with over 2 years of experience to design, build, and maintain advanced web applications. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, contributing to new features, ensuring application robustness, and enhancing performance. The ideal candidate will continuously seek out new technologies to streamline development processes and adopt industry best practices in web development.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Proven software development experience in PHP.
- Strong knowledge of PHP coding and web-based applications.
- Good understanding of object-oriented PHP programming and MVC design patterns.
- Knowledge of PHP web frameworks like Laravel, CodeIgniter, etc.
- Strong understanding of REST API development and OWASP security principles.
- Ability to architect enterprise solutions including data, display, and information architecture.
- Demonstrable knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, etc.
- Good knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
- Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
- Experience in common third-party APIs (Google, Facebook, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (e.g., Requirements, Design, Development, Testing) and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of recommended design patterns and architectures.
- Knowledge of Open-Source CMS like Drupal, WordPress, etc.
- Understanding of caching mechanism such as Memcached/Redis.
- Knowledge of NodeJS, Angular, React, etc. will be an added advantage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design and build advanced Web Application using PHP, HTML, JS, CSS, etc.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
- Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Contribute in identification and adoption of technologies, tools and industry best practices related to Web development.
